A New Zealander intent on destroying El Salvador's clean water for a little gold money. An embarrass
With disgust, i describe a new SQP-ICC International Criminal Court case submission, with a New Zealander as a headlining character.
Mr J. Denham Shale, is a key decision maker of a gold mining company OceanaGold, currently suing the government of El Salvador for 301 million US [ which is half of the entire annual government budget to provide health care, education and basic human rights like clean water to their citizens ] because the government of El Salvador have REFUSED to grant permission for new OceanaGold mines, on the basis that it will contaminate El Salvador's water & earth, including arsenic and cyanide poisoning, which is scientifically calculated to bring about the physical destruction of illness, disease and death for up to two thirds of the nation's population.
The project will contaminate the Lempa River, which provides water for two thirds of the population of El Salvador.
The El Salvador government are actively trying to protect their people and lands from contamination so that they may have clean water and soils for essential human survival. Their country has already been so contaminated by industry, so that barely 2% of their water remains of drinkable quality.
Mr J. Denham Shale is attempting to force this unnecessary water and land contamination through a US court action and in the process, use a corrupt trade agreement to steal half of their entire countries annual budget, for an already poverty stricken people, who struggle in the wake of dirty industry having infected their country so greatly already.
"If El Salvador loses the case, then the World Bank can enforce the payment of the settlement by seizing the country's assets, including aid, development or disaster relief funds destined for the country and use those funds to pay OceanaGold."
Not only will this action devastate the countries financial survival and force them to lose both their independence and clean water but in order to ensure that the opposition from the people against their mine, ceases against them, OceanaGold and other beneficiaires are alleged to be carrying out a series of violent methods of intimation, which include kidnapping, torture and murder. In one case, this has been against a pregnant mother of 8th months, who was a leading activist against the mines. "In 2009 Marcelo Rivera, a well-known environmentalist and community organizer, was kidnapped, tortured and murdered and Dora Sorto, an eight month pregnant mother and anti-mining activist, was killed with a high power rifle while getting water from a community well. Her two-year-old son was injured in the attack."
How is it possible that we accept a man involved in such clearly unethical and criminal activity, to be in the top echelons of New Zealand leadership? This is Mr J. Denham Shale's profile in New Zealand: He has a NZ law practice and was previous chairman of Kensington Swan. He is currently Chairman of The Farmers Trading Company Limited and Dunedin City Holdings Ltd. He is also a director of New Zealand listed Turners Auctions Limited and several private companies. Denham is President and an Accredited Fellow of the Institute of Directors in New Zealand Inc.

Mr J. Denham Shales criminal liability is shared by the other directors of OceanaGold and the financial beneficiaries, owners and all other related companies who are faciliating this conduct of harm.

The 'clean green' touristic nature of New Zealand's reputation can only extend a disingenous farcade to attract people who love nature, whilst the contradiction of high profile country directors engaging outrageous legal bullying to destroy El Salvador's most basic right to life, exist. Currently intent to force upon a protesting but possibly defenseless nation, the contamination of 2/3'rds of it's clean water source, for the benefit of a little private gold revenue. Is a nation not represented by it's people as much as it's land?
I'd like to propose that Mr J. Denham Shale is an international embarrassment to the brand of 'clean green New Zealand' as he attempts and intends international action which insults the right to life of current and future generations.
